ALMEC AUTOMATION SYSTEMS FOR HOOKLIFT TRAILERS

ALMEC has enriched and technologically innovated the composition and operation of their automation systems dedicated to hooklift vehicles. These systems, that entirely communicate in CANopen protocol, typically consist of the following components:

ALNW Wired Pushbutton Panel: This wired control panel allows for the control of various functions of the hooklift vehicle.

SPN5M Electronic Control Unit: This electronic control unit serves as the “brain” of the automation system. It manages the information and commands from the wired control panel and coordinates the operation of the other components.

ALNWR Radio Remote Control Transmitter Panel: This panel serves as a wireless alternative to the wired control panel ALNW. It allows for remote control of the hooklift vehicle’s functions.

RDC EVO Radio Control Receiver Unit: This control unit receives signals transmitted by the ALNWR radio control transmitter panel and relays them to the SPN5M control unit for executing the desired functions.

AL35R15 Electro-pneumatic Distributor: This electro-pneumatic distributor, with a variable number of elements (from 4 to 8), manages the flow and control of the lifting and emptying operations of the hooklift.

MVS.B3E or MVS.B4E Operator Panel: This operator panel provides a user interface for displaying system status information and interacting with it.

TRS.184 Angular Safety Sensor: This sensor detects the angle and movement of the hooklift system to ensure safety during lifting and emptying operations.

ALMECdiag Device Modem: The modem, connected to the hooklift vehicle, enables the transmission of data and information about its operation to a dedicated portal developed for the customer on the ALMECdiag Portal platform.

Various Sensors: ALMEC integrates a variety of sensors to monitor and collect data on different variables relevant to the hooklift system.

In the case where a loader, specifically a scrap loader crane, is also installed on the vehicle behind the cabin, the related automation system includes an SPN5M master electronic control unit and an SPN5M slave electronic control unit, an ALMSNT dashboard, as well as various sensors.

Below is a graphical illustration of a typical system.
