SPN5M ST ISOBUS ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS FOR MASCHIO GASPARDO

ALMEC has designed and developed for MASCHIO GASPARDO s.p.a., a leading company in the manufacture of agricultural machinery based in Campodarsego (Pd) and multiple factories in Italy and abroad, a special electronic control unit, which has taken the name of SPN5M ST ISOBUS, dedicated to some sprayer models.

The ALMEC SPN5M control unit had obtained the ISOBUS certification at the beginning of this year. REI, on behalf of AEF (Agricultural Industry Elecronics Foundation), had issued the “ISOBUS Conformance test report” to ALMEC.
Now also the SPN5M ST ISOBUS control unit, which is equipped with ST Microelectronics ST microprocessor, 5V CAN-Bus transceiver and fast inputs, will obtain ISOBUS certification.

ISOBUS

is the communication protocol regulated by standards that allows you to manage the communication between agricultural tractors, software and agricultural equipment (“implement”) of the main agricultural machinery manufacturers, to allow the exchange of data and information with a universal language through a single control console or operator panel integrated in the tractor cab.

The ISOBUS protocol is the result of an agreement between the main producers of agricultural machinery and equipment to solve compatibility problems, standardizing and regulating the communication between different machines, regardless of the manufacturer.

Thanks to ISOBUS, the cab becomes an authentic on-board computer, which allows you to manage the tools and the machine, guaranteeing the exchange of information.

The SPN5M ST controller is an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) which can handle up to 16 inputs and up to 16 outputs with an M7 high performance microprocessor.
Easy to program, using the ALMEClab development platform, it can be implemented in a serial line (RS232) or in a CAN network, as MASTER or SLAVE.
The polyurethane resin case makes the controllers suitable for use on machines that operate in harsh work environments
