What is NEXUS?
NEXUS is an advanced IoT gateway module that collects data from mobile equipment and industrial machinery. Paired with Diaboard, it leverages cutting-edge technologies to monitor their health status in real time. Through a network of smart sensors and predictive analytics algorithms, Diaboard interprets critical data gathered by NEXUS, enabling fault prediction and optimized maintenance operations.
Key Features of NEXUS
NEXUS is powered by a voltage range compatible with automotive applications and includes a backup battery. It features two CAN BUS 2.0 A/B ports compliant with ISO 11898-2 standards, supporting speeds up to 1 Mbit/s and is compatible with CANOPEN and J1939 sniffing protocols.
In terms of connectivity, NEXUS supports 4G LTE Cat.1 and 2G EDGE GPRS networks, with a wide range of LTE-FDD bands for Europe, America, and Asia. This ensures efficient data transmission with maximum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. It includes a non-steered roaming SIM with global coverage, supporting M2M multi-network communication. The device also integrates a multi-constellation GPS system (GPS + BeiDou + Galileo) with a 10-meter accuracy under optimal conditions.
Connectivity options include IEEE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi in the 2.4GHz band and Bluetooth 5.2. The module is equipped with a Black Box for logging machine error data. Status indication is provided via three LEDs.
The module is designed to operate in a wide temperature range: from -35°C to +75°C. For versions with a battery, the supported range is from -20°C to +60°C.

Data collected from the CAN bus communication port is displayed on the DIABOARD platform via the MQTT protocol, ensuring easy integration with company systems.
From a cybersecurity perspective, NEXUS uses encrypted communications between the gateway and the portal, with onboard authentication and secure data management. The device includes a digital input for ignition control via the start key.
