THE CHAMPIONS OF GROWTH 2018
AL.MEC AMONG THE 300 CHAMPIONS OF GROWTH 2018
“Platinum” award for an average growth of over 30%
The German Quality and Finance Institute and La Repubblica – Affari & Finanza present, for the first time in Italy, the “Champions of growth 2018” study. The goal is to identify those dynamic companies – often hidden – that give new impulses to Italian economy. The Bank of Italy predicts a GDP increase of 1.4% for 2018. However, many companies have a stronger development thanks to innovative ideas and business models. The Institute has identified 300 companies that in the three-year period 2013-2016 recorded a significant increase in turnover.
Enter Champions of growth list is the visible and official proof of company growth in its sector and at the same time increases the reputation of the company as an employer, transmitting to potential employees the idea of being able to offer them great prospects for the future. The growth of every single company becomes a ‘contagious’ factor for the performance of the entire production system, crucial for the competitive advantage of an entire country.
Starting from 7.8 million companies surveyed, through careful research in publicly available databases, online company data, analysis of tenders and communication portals, the German Institute have come to a list of 10,000 companies with a high growth rate. The companies had to have their headquarters in Italy, to be grown predominantly in organic way and not through acquisition of other companies.
The list of Champions has been drawn up on the basis of the annual average growth and has identified three categories of awards: “Diamond”: companies with an average annual turnover increase of over 50%. “Platinum”: companies with an average annual turnover increase of over 30%. “Gold”: companies with an average annual turnover increase of over 10%.
“I am honored for the recognition of our company, for the past 17 years we have been working hard every day to find new solutions to offer to our customers,” said Ivano Albarello, CEO of AL.MEC, commenting on the awarding of the prize.
AL.MEC, the only selected company in the province of Cuneo, is part of the group of 146 companies with turnover <5 million, achieving an average growth of 31% in the three-year period 2013-2016. AL.MEC in fact went from a turnover of 1.13 million euro in 2013 to a turnover of 2.4 million euro in 2016. The growth continued in 2017, with a turnover of almost 2.7 million euro.
“Our growth path required sacrifices, but it also gave us satisfaction. This recognition is nothing but a further boost to our desire to improve “continues Ivano Albarello.
