SPN5M ISOBUS PROJECT FOR MASCHIO GASPARDO

For some years ALMEC has been supplying MASCHIO GASPARDO s.p.a., a company based in Campodarsego (Pd) and multiple factories in Italy and abroad, with the SPN5M electronic control unit, which is used on a sprayer model. The project was developed in 2020 and now within a few months ALMEC will supply MASCHIO GASPARDO with the SPN5M control unit in the ISOBUS certified version. ISOBUS is the protocol regulated by the relative standard, which allows to manage the communication between tractors, software and equipment of the main manufacturers, to allow the exchange of data and information with a universal language through a single operator panel, integrated in the tractor cab. The ISOBUS protocol is the result of an agreement between the main manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment, defined to solve compatibility problems, standardizing and regulating communication. Thanks to ISOBUS, the operator panel in the cab (virtual terminal) becomes an authentic on-board computer, which allows to control the machines (implement) attached to the tractor, ensuring the exchange of information between them and the tractor, regardless of who is the builder.
